    (Friday Plus-one breakfast only)
    The Drake Hotel, 140 East Walton Place
    Members of the SCA Board of Directors and designated representatives of SCA Affiliate Member organizations meet to discuss the activities of Swedish America’s community foundation.
    Registration includes meeting, breakfast, lunch and breaks.
    Spouses and plus-ones are welcome to join for breakfast
  • Friday, November 4, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: – Swedish Luncheon
    Tre Kronor Svensk Restaurang, 3258 West Foster Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625
    Friends and supporters of Swedish-American organizations from across the continent are welcome to meet and mingle at this casual event. SCA Board Members and others attending the SCA Board of Directors Meeting will not be attending this event.
    Registration includes lunch and soft-beverage. Pre-registration requested.
  • Friday, November 4, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.: – SCA & SAHS Awards reception
    Saint James Episcopal Church, 65 E Huron Street, Chicago, IL 60611
    (home of the Jenny Lind chalice and diocesan seat for the Saint Ansgarius Swedish Congregation (1849 – 1940) whose archives were preserved at North Park University, in part with a grant from SCA)
    Outstanding achievements of local volunteers, leaders and organizations will be honored at this event co-sponsored by Swedish Council of America and Swedish American Historical Society.
    SCA will bestow its coveted SCA Great Achievement Award in recognition of national or international contributions to Swedish America; the SCA Award of Merit to remarkable local volunteers; and the SCA Proclamation to local organizations reaching special milestones in their history. SAHS will present its prizes yet to be announced.
    Registration includes hors d’oeuvres and cash bar. Pre-registration requested.

    Includes three stops of interest to the Swedish community:
    1. A guided tour of the Swedish American Museum
    2. A joint luncheon for the boards and friends of Swedish Council of America and Swedish-American Historical Society,
    hosted by North Park University

    A special preview of “The Kalmar Nyckel – the forgotten journey” from the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation
