Swedish Council of America Foundation


The Swedish Council of America Foundation is a 509(a)(3) supporting organization
and exists to support the mission, vision, and priorities of the Swedish Council of America
through the prudent management of its endowment funds.

Those assets currently exceed $1,000,000 and are in three major funds:

  • The Curtis L. Carlson Swedish American Scholarship Fund
  • The Swedish Heritage Fund (for SCA Grants)
  • The SCA Scholarships Fund

Under the umbrella of the SCA Scholarships Fund, it is the goal of SCA to endow six major scholarships
designed to mirror somewhat the six Nobel Prizes:

  • The SCA Glenn T. Seaborg Science Scholarship
  • The SCA Swedish Language Scholarship
  • The SCA Humanities Scholarship
  • The SCA Medicine and Public Health Scholarship
  • The SCA Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies Scholarship
  • The SCA Economics and Entrepreneurialism Scholarship

Donors interested in funding any of these scholarships, or in contributing to any of the SCAF endowment funds
